I bet David would like some Patron or I think it's Black Label Cuervo. Looks like he did an outstanding job. As for me, kicked back at the Davy Crockett up here on 81 in Tn. Pulling the vampire shift this week. Got out of Jersey alive. Y'all have a good one.

Well, there is nothing like experience to uh, gain experience! When I was LTL we hauled a lot of stuff on wheels from a heavy equipment outfit. Things like light trailers and such. And then some really heavy stuff that was "to hard to secure, we'll just block it in. . ." Right, not in my trailer you don't. . .:biggrin_25513:

We also used to get those big wire wheels, huge metal wheels with power wire on them. One of the guys I worked with had one come through a trailer door one time. But shoot, who has the time to worry about "load securement?"

    He split it good

There are 22 rolls. He left 8 the nose. Put a load bar. Reloaded 10 from about the mid point to about just past the midpoint of the axles at the California setting with a load bar at each and then the last 4 at about the 45 to 50 foot mark with a load bar and my load lock at the end.

That guy could teach a class on loading trailers.

Experience... I have been learning QUITE A LOT in my current co..... Not the easy stuff I used to do in that WM dedicated... :biggrin_25513:
I think some loads should be hauled by flat beds not dry vans... and that one was one of those...

    Big Don Thanks this.

My birds are resting in peace at the Harrisburg, PA TA. Thought I was gonna have to buy a spot. Then, just as I took what I figured would be a hopeless tour of the second row where I always park (pointed toward the exit), someone pulled out of my space. Here's the view:

    gps-seat.jpg

Kidding! Sort of. I like my blinds. This is the promised pic of the ram gps mount as seen from the pilot's throne. That's a Garmin 560LMT. I've been lusting over the 780, but have higher priority things I could purchase instead. Oh well, that'll save me buying another mount too.

    gps-arm.jpg

This is the arm rig that suspends it. I've used one like this on a motorcycle. They are solid. If I want, I can loosen the crank and reposition it. Been mounted for a month and not changed position at all. It does bounce a bit on rough roads. Better that than get the shocks from the road directly, I suppose. The piece the gps clips into is interesting. The cradle that comes with the gps snaps into the ram piece (required, so it doesn't replace that). The roller doohickey on the top puts some serious clamp on the unit to insure good electric connections in the bottom, while making it still pretty easy to remove.

Since I screwed with you on the blind photo, here's a weather shot from the same location a few weeks ago when some thunderstorms were brewing. Tonight I am backed in the spot behind that yellow Freightliner in the pic.

    Hahahahah

I do that too. That way when I pull in I know right where I need to go :yes2557:

It is alot easier as well to leave way early as well....

Me and the guy next to me have a $20 bet on what company is gonna hit the Schneider truck. I said swift and he looked at my truck and laughed , then said. " what , no faith in your brothers " ? I looked at him and with out a once of hesitation I said " but I am a only child " he lost it ...:biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:
