I would consider another line of trucking other than flatbedding(Melton).....it's pretty physical.

Here's a link to scoliosis. Basically, it's a sideways curvature of the spine. Depending on the severity, it may cause you no problems to major problems. Chances are if it was just discovered it's a minor curve.

I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was in grade school. An x-ray was taken and the degree of curve was so minor that it was decided not to do anything about it. As an adult I do get some lower back ache that I can take OTC pain relievers for. For the most part it doesn't bother me. One of my shoulders is slightly higher than the other (that's my hair stylist's problem when they cut my hair), and a chiropractor told me that one hip is a little higher than the other. The only other thing I learned about it was from a physical therapist, because of the curve I bend at my neck and at my waist.

I can still drive my car for long periods, I can climb into and out of my husband's truck with no problems, I do everyday lifting, moving, and other activities. I'm just not very good at yoga positions that need you to bend your back. :)

TL;DR: Don't stress yourself out over having scoliosis. :)

Try this stretch. I would do it bracing my hands right above my knees. It helps to stretch the back and have strong core muscles.
