Something like 3-5000 miles of clutching every gear is what I heard. If you don't need the higher torque rating stick with an easy pedal style clutch wether it is from a reputable aftermarket place or a new easy pedal advantage series.

Every single clutch I've ever installed in a truck always slipped. They have to seat into the flywheel a bit before they bite in good.
I would just let it burn in a bit, and then it was good to go. Or there's always the high range / brakes on / slipper method. Lol
that works too. Just don't over do it.
I've always used the eaton easy pedals , 2050 tq and never had an issue. These clutches seem to go very long time.

I've only had one clutch slip from new and that was cause I was to cheap to get a new flywheel put on cause mine had been surfaced to many times and it never quit. Just had to go easy on the torque till I had time to do it again. I always ran the eaton easy pedal 2050. I put a new flywheel on and new input shaft on tranny and moved up to eaton 2450 torque and I'm back to no slip. Slipping a clutch is not something you want to do even if you call it a break in. I considered going with a lipe but read to many complaint reviews of them on here so I decided to stay with eaton and just went bigger torque rating

So when did eaton come out with a 2450 tq clutch. Biggest one in there book is a 2250 and it requires a different spline input. Unless I'm mistaken.

If you look at the down and dirty specs of the 2050 vs the 2250 there are really no other differences between the two besides one being set up for the 2" 10 spline and one for the 2" 14 spline. They have the exact same plate load.

I installed a new 2450 LIP clutch and had no slippage right from the beginning.
New LIP clutchs should not slip if installed and adjusted right.
And mine feels as light as the easy pedal clutch I had in it.

I put a Lipe in my truck, in April of this year. Put another one in it in July. It didn't slip at first but at the last it would slip coming down the ramp on flat ground

Did you call LIP and get them to warrenty it? Pretty sure they come with a warranty.
I can't imagine one wearing out quickly. The one I put in was built lot tougher than any one I've ever seen. Little heavier to.
They do have an adjustment ring also.
