Try going to a certified public notary to sign your copies every month before you send them in. Most only cost about $10 to certify your stuff and it serves as additional insurance if you ever have to take them to court

Since England is financially connected with Giltner, England is slowly siphoning off giltners accounts, taking the money loads and leaving the junk behind. That’s why as a giltner driver, I personally witnessed the number of good accounts dwindle to next to nothing for company drivers. If you web search “thetruckersreport giltner” you will find a long list of complaints about giltner. Notice the same “Train, Drive, Lease” advertisement on the back of both England and Giltner trailers. Why would a tiny company of around 100 trucks need to advertise 24/7 for drivers? The same reason England does, because of massive turnover. All the junk companies I can think of advertise that way (England, Swift, Knight, & Giltner). And two of the three statements in “Train, Drive, Lease” on the back of giltner’s trailers are flat-out untrue. 1) Giltner has no driving school and does not train, period, and 2) I never met a Giltner lease Op that actually had taken title to a truck through Giltner.

My company driver experience with Giltner, Jerome, ID., was regularly being asked to asked to pay for THEIR trucks fuel or wait forever at the fuel island. They also didn't reimburse me for the $250-$350.00 lumper fees, pallet purchases, and Port fees ALL giltner company drivers must pay upfront weekly with the hopes of reimbursement in the future. All is well until you quit, then giltner goes back and retroactively withheld $2175.90 from my last checks. The original receipts were already sent and this is all gilner will accept for payments.

why would any one ever pay or get an advance for any company expenses???? I would let the load rot if they expected me to take an advance. I would never ever pay for an expenses for any reason, no matter what the company says

Is Giltner is financial dire straits? That's the question. It's obvious they are if drivers have to wait for fuel or asked to pay for it. My question is, how long can they possibly last?

Giltner, Jerome, ID, makes company drivers pay $300.00-$400.00 a week out of their own pocket for lumpers and then went back when I quit and claimed $2395.27 wasnt actually "reimbursable" and kept that amount when I quit. When I protested, Giltner demanded the original receipts, which, of course, had already been sent in long ago when the lumper service was originally paid, because thats all Giltner will take in the first place for reimbursement. Giltner also started more and more to ask company drivers like me to pay for fuel for their company trucks with the promise of reimbursement later, but I didnt fall for that one. Ive already heard of too many Giltner drivers complaints on htis and other websites about Giltner rippoffs.

How exactly does the company make drivers pay? Only a fool would take money out of their pocket to pay a company expense. The first time a company asks me to pay for fuel, lumper, toll, port fees or whatever I'd tell them where they could find their truck and trailer.

With that said there have been times that I've paid for things out of my pocket like lights, fuses, scale tickets, etc.. The reason I don't mind doing this with my current company is because when you turn in a receipt you are immediately reimbursed out of the petty cash bag. Never a problem.

I'm sorry but I have to call BS on a lot of this. If you are driving truck for several years why in the hell would you pay for fuel or lumper services out of your own pocket and continue working for that company? If you look at who is posting they claim to be driving truck for several years one for 11 years just on page 6 of this thread. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the company is horrible...they are connected to CR England after all. I'm just saying that these stories people are posting I suspect are exaggerated...either that or these drivers severely lack any form of common sense at all.

When you hire a lumper at many outfits the company pays for it by advancing the driver the amount. If a receipt is turned in, the lumper amount is reimbursed. No receipt? The driver pays. Why is this unusual to some? Was like that Since I started driving.
Back when I started everything but fuel and truck repairs came out of my pocket and was reimbursed later. Now days just lumpers.
So the "fool" would be someone calling someone a fool when ignorant to what is actually happening. No money ever came out of my account in decades of "paying" for road expences. What these Giltner dudes are claiming is either theft or a wage claim needed through L&I.
