KLLM is still operating some OTR accounts through FFE's name, which is still listed as a combination of FFE/Lisa ML/and American eagle as well as several dozen other carriers that were absorbed by FFE. When I got my first dac report back on FFE, I was horrified to see an entire page of companies listed with FFE, later to only learn that since FFE was still technically operating these carriers under their USDOT# they had to list them...it just looked like I'd been driver for 20 companies in a 14 month period thanks to them. But any competent talent aquisition/hiring manager will be able to understand what's going on.
Anyhow, I know KLLM is still running a few lines through the FFE conglomerate name in order to finish existing contracts and I know they're renewing a few but under the KLLM flagship.
Like I said, Kevin is a good guy. They'll switch out instructors here in the next week on you, keeps you on your toes. They also do it to get people that are struggling with folks that are more able to tutor them in their errors. Keeps things fair and allows the folks that are showing competency a little room to breathe. I had Maxine on both rotations. She's no longer an instructor there, heard she went back OTR.PikesPeak Thanks this. -
Cabwrecker: yeah I think that is the case. But I'm here for 7 days refresher course only so I think tomorrow another alley dock backing day, and Monday, Tuesday gonna be orientation. We'll see.

They are feeding you from Black Eye Pea?? Every evening?? Tell me about the program is there a payback if you dont stay with the company??? If so how long and how much? I saw a pic of the rooms online and they looked clean and nice? Do they have a computer simulator?
-
Yes they do have computer simulator, and feed us from black eye pea every evenings. 6 months commitment for refreshers course ($3362 payback) and 1 year for those getting the CDL thru the school ($5869 payback). Showers and rooms r clean. Even tho they have wifi, it hasn't been fixed since more than 2 weeks ago, so there's no wifi service at the moment.

The one thing that this company really emphasize on is SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY. So far, nothing to complain about in their academy. Only time will tell when im out there with the trainer and on my own, then I will find out if I be getting the miles they say I will or not.
PikesPeak Thanks this. -
Subscribed.. I was there about 3 weeks ago.

Greetings,
I know FFE hauls crude oil around Midland Texas. They wanted three months driving experience according to their website. Do you know if you can apply for those positions before entering FFE driving academy? Thanks -
They don't haul crude, they haul frac water and I'm pretty sure they want more than 3 months experience. Liquid surge is something rookies should not be turned loose on IMO.
