vikingswen has a good thread (Running produce to Alaska) on driving to Alaska as he does a regular produce run up there and he'd be a good resource. -
See it's nice to have a person that is willing to help out on the laws.
I knew the wheelbase permit voids out the oversize. I could not use my wheelbase permit as I also was pulling a stretch trl.
But I got around that as my tag axle is not a liftable..
It's the kingpin to rear axle rule you guys got up there I think kills alot of the U.S. trls.. right? -

The only advice I can offer as a wannabe trucker is....... keep you eyes open for wildlife trying to commit suicide by truck and beware frost heaves and dips in the road, if you see a "BUMP" or "DIP" sign, take it seriously and sloooow down. Enjoy the wonderful scenery!

Ive always wanted to head that way I was offered roughly 15k this week to go to Juneau I thought it wasn't enough
Let us know how your travels go .alot of guys talk about wanting to go up there .and your going!!!!!! One things for sure you won't be in Alabama anymore!! -
