talked to jb about a month ago, they were offering 58k per year to delivery to dollar stores, all finger print guessing out 5 days. on the down side that was a phone converstation so until you see the money in writing, also they wanted the stupid amount of 128.00?? per week for medical copay.

58k for 70+ hour work weeks not worth it.

Ezover I hear ya......your rationale of thought is on par with mine in terms of working at jbhunt, I currently work for dcs.

I am asked / pressured to do two gates a day (meaning 3-4 stores) in a 11 hour period. This is in the NYC metropolitan area, ct and Long Island. I refuse the second gate because most times when I return I'm on my 9th hour and I have to tell dispatch no.

Dispatch constantly pressures you to push to the max. And I'm sure the dollar store gig is not as easy as they make it sound.

Dollar store NYC metro ?! holy molly.
Around here ( somewhere in PA ) none of the stores have dock or in a tight plaza or straight up walk your product park illegal on main street 500 feet away.

Kudos to you folks slinging dollar stores. Especially NYC metro :biggrin_25513::biggrin_25514:

I've heard decent stuff about their intermodal/truck rail. Jb supposedly has the best contracts in the industry when it comes to that.
In Chicago the guys I've talked to say they take home about 52-56 a year doing it which is about tops for your average first year. Haven't met any of their dollar general drivers yet so I cant speak on that.

I work for JB Hunt Intermodal out of Harrisburg PA. I will make about 60K this year and work a 12-14 hour day. I'm still on the low end of the pay scale. Once I get To max pay 70k is normal but considering that they are going into a hire craze and will continue to do so for the next few years I'll probably be making around 80k a year when I get to max pay since they have and will be continuing with giving pay raises so they lower there driver turn over. October will make my 8th pay raise in 2 years only two of the eight raises were normal pay raises. If you have want to know more about JB Hunt Intermodal go here http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/jb-hunt/94863-j-b-hunt-intermodel.html

Yea, let me just get out of your way with that very important load of dirt.... lol Problem is you crap haulers know how to drive fast but that's it. Worse than 4 wheelers in my opinion. I will move when necessary but I will not be intimidated by you 8th grade bullies. I usually wait til you pass me and get all mad and give me the finger then I blow you a kiss. BTW- I am always availablt to discuss it on the shoulder...
