To clarify the high revenue I recieve because of the type of tractor I operate: You are correct, for some shippers cheap rates are the deciding factor. I avoid that type of freight if I can. Not every shipper puts rates at the top of the list.
Example of high rate load I haul because of the manueverablilty of the cabover. I have put a 60000# generator for TV broadcasts on the lawn of the US Capitol in Wash DC several times, avoiding damage to trees and underground plumbing. $3.00 mile + for this type of work.

I like the look of the argosy freightliner......just del to the plant in clev nc....nice trucks...
what does a new one go for anyways price wise?
what do they get mpg? -
I saw the argosy gliders now available according to freightliner glider websites.
-
I have not seen them available here, maybe Canada but not here. The last time I asked about ordering a glider Argosy was "we don't sell them in the US" but that's an FL dealer who refused to give me prices on a new truck for a loan - he lost a good sale.

They are available. Freightliner just recently added the Argosy to their SpecPro program, although most dealers are unaware of its availability.
