I think you put the voodoo on me Pete. I woke up this morning with a sinus infection and an earache. ugh ....I have too much to do....
Panhandle, I did find a 24 hour delivery service in Clearfield last night but you had disappeared too! Would have sent you a text but figured you had gone to sleep without your supper.
dennisroc, I bet you were glad to have this week over with and be able to relax! Here is the link to the DOT physical requirements, it is not simple reading!

I agree, jaso, that brother won't be printing out cards anymore. He sold that company a number of years ago and is now a boat hauler. I don't speak to him but do check up on him every once in awhile .....on many sites he is listed as the top boat hauler in the country. So maybe he has changed his ways ....but I doubt it!

Swift is an interesting company to watch these days. They are heading somewhere, just not sure of the destination yet. (I think I have a guess) I know a guy that drives for Central and just looking at his own transition when Swift took over, it was chaos. Of course that's to be expected during a takeover, but I'm not sure he's as happy these days as he was this time last year.
I was going to ask about these "new regs" myself..............(I sure hope I'm training when you are instructing,
)
......and before I post I get the question answered (this and CY's post before this one).....lol. New regs and where they are going scare me. I am glad to see Anne Ferro go away. From what I know that HAS to be a step in the right direction.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
I used the same Dr as last year and it was different this year. Last year was the first year since 02 that I did not get a 2 year medical card as my blood pressure was slightly high. I had to take the A1C test that was new last year just dip stick in urine, asked if I smoked I said yes so another test for breathing but not sleep apnea cause I was over 35. I was just repeating the info he gave me about how many drivers are not passing the physical this year vs past years. Cranky did you ever have to go to a specialist before to get your medical card? I have never had heart problems so I do not know if you would have had to. If you are in reasonably good shape you will pass but you see some of these drivers out here, some can barely walk. I am surprised some can scale their truck to legal weights(that is a bad joke) but you get what I am saying. I wasn't trying to say that it was impossible and if I came across that way I am sorry as I did not mean to.
Be safe out there -
I thought the same thing when I saw thisSRQGhost and HometimeQueen Thank this.

Jaso I believe your Dr was just erring on the side of caution
based on my reading of current regs
i see a pulmonary specialist anyway the ####### wants me to quit smoking
and of course I agree some of these people look like they will die before they get into the TS
to refill their 100 oz mountain dew
A trans am driver waddled up to me offered me $5 once to get up and put his load locks in
jaso36 Thanks this. -
^^ me too....operation. HTQ, the comment you made earlier about people being brought in from another company to be paid lower wages seems true of many jobs. You may have noticed fast food restaurants employ quite a few people from other countries. It seems unfair to citizens of the US, but sometimes it is because Americans want higher paying jobs and won't start out from the bottom. Guess it's kind of a Pandora's box. It isn't fair when people are brought from other countries at the demise of hard working Americans and their wages are cut or they lose their job. I'm not prejudice against people from other countries, but it's like with families, you've got to take care of your own.
