Last August they gave the entire fleet a raise as well. Come august, I'll be up 5 cents from when I started here last year. Can't complain about that! Also, I'll be up a whole 20 cents over what my last company started me at.

August 5th is when the new pay scale goes into effect.

I started last year at 34 cents I will be at 45 with the raise. I was making 31 with my last company. I would have had to drive 10 years with them to make the kind of money I make now. It was a van company so with tarp pay and fuel.bonus just another reason I am really happy driving for Melton

What!? How long have you been with melton? I'm at 1 year and one month. Currently at .42 per mile. I'm expecting 2 cents, did they say who was getting more any why? I saw their post on favebook, didnt get a safety message. I didn't see anything on that. I should hit my 130k mile mark in august so that'll give me another penny, putting me at 45cpm. Have you already hit 130k miles? Is that how you'll be at 45?
I started at my last company making 25. Left after 1.5 years making 32 swinging doors. No good. -
i found it in my email, sent out yesterday
ATTENTION DRIVERS:
Melton is Proud to Announce a Pay Increase!
We are very pleased to announce another well-deserved increase in driver compensation! Beginning August 5, 2014, all Company Drivers and Owner Operators will receive a minimum of 2¢ per mile increase in compensation, and some experience categories will receive up to 4¢ per mile more.
Once effective, our minimum pay will be 37¢ per mile, and our top drivers will make 50¢ per mile! These increases will give drivers a boost of at least $2,400 per year!
This raise will be in addition to tarp pay, fuel performance bonus, the profit sharing for qualified Blue Knights and Ambassadors, and all other extra pay.
On an annual basis, at our current size, these raises will cost Melton almost $3 million. Please remember that Melton makes its money the same way you make yours - when we pick up and deliver our customers' freight safely, on time, and damage-free. This well-deserved raise comes from our profits. By being a safe, productive, and professional truck driver, you will help us to afford this, and hopefully future increases in compensation.
See your pay stub dated Friday, August 15 to note your individual increase. Please contact Russ Elliott, Angie Buchanan, or Melissa Stephan if you have any questions.
This pay increase is just another way for us to show our appreciation for all of your hard work and dedication. We are very proud of each of you and you have all helped Melton become a leader in the trucking industry.
Congratulations and thank you again for all that you do!' -

Picked up in sand springs and went to tulsa for tires yesterday, left this morning to do my 450 mile weekend run. Now I'm in council bluffs and I assume I'm taking a 34 now.3 days on a 450 mile run doesn't pay the bills. And, that's exactly what I'm telling my DM on monday and asking if she will give me any extra pay for this weekend of sitting.
CR England just drove around the parking lot and took Werners front end clean off, the tried to leave. Looks like a 4 wheeler blocked him in until the police showed up.
