Good tactic, but what if she called your bluff and took the oil? Then you would have been out $20 or more in oil expenses!

It should be a law that if you pay more than $3,000 a year in federal taxes, that you can shoot 4 panhandlers a year.

That is typical government style waste.

Everybody knows you can just run over the panhandlers - - - save the bullets for the texters who don't use their blinkers.

    tucker and tsavory Thank this.

It happens..I gave a lady oil,and she walked over, and poured it in.
    I watched her,and no-one gave her any help,so I gave her a bottle.

Ok, I've got a few stories...

I remember a night out bar hopping with some friends of mine in Fells Point, Md. There were some bums lying around with signs, begging for money. One guy had the sign, "Why lie? I just want a beer." Nobody seemed to be giving any of the other bums any money, but more people than not who walked by this guy gave him something.

When training for a local job, we were sitting at a traffic light in Baltimore where a guy was walking down the line of cars begging money. Boss pointed out a beautiful black Mercedes in the parking lot of the business on the corner, and explained that the car belonged to the beggar. Says that the whole town knew he was a scam, but there was enough out of town traffic passing through that he could get. Didn't believe it at first, but after a couple years of running through that intersection it was easy to notice that the car was there only when he was, and never when he wasn't.

There had to be a whole system of beggars working together in Baltimore. Running all over the city every day, I could see that all the signs in the area were made by the same person as they were nearly identical and all in the same handwriting. Can't remember exactly what they said, but there were a couple signs worded just a little different from the others, and made them stand out to those who read them all day long. I'd see those signs on a different corner every day, always being held by someone different, but I could sometimes recognize someone who had used it before standing on their same corner with a different sign. So, they seemed to have assigned corners that they had some sort of schedule when they could be there (one guy would be there on certain days, and another guy would be there on other days), but the signs rotated around between people and corners.

Lol that last story is funnier and more sad than the first. These "bums" actually have a coordinated network that is managed for optimum efficiency. With all that effort they could do something productive and beneficial to society. They refuse to have a legitimate job for some reason, yet they are professionals who work everyday tax free. Yes they probably make more money than most middle class working folks.
Its both stupid and smart, sad and funny, and truthfully ironic.

I don't give out money, but I've given a homeless man at a rest area my ladt couple of bottles of water. I usually offer to buy them food, so far only one has come inside to get a free meal with me.
