ran a binder with super-singles pulling a smoothbore tank loaded with various dairy-products through blizzards and snow, rain-storms, etc.
Never had traction problems, just drove accordingly.

Don't know much about them other than what I have read, saw on another site where a guy was having problems with his fleet that was equipped with them. They were chewing up wheel bearings or seals or something so he was switching back to duals. Anyone else ever heard of this problem?

Super Singles should not exist EXCEPT when you ARE driving on DRY roadway, and ONLY dry road surface.

Its really about saving 350 pounds per axle. That's another 700 lbs per load they can get on.
-
How do you figure that?

Question for you young man, have you ever drivin on super singles? I have 3 times, because my truck was getting serviced, not fun in the winter, or on wet roads!

I just signed on with a company that runs 90 trucks in the southeast with S.S. and their trucks are governed at 71 mph. We get paid a percentage of the load, and the weight savings is the reason this company runs S.S.Last edited: Jul 27, 2014

Tens of thousands of miles on super-singles pulling a smoothbore tanker hauling dairy products. Drove through the deserts of California, ran in blizzards, torrential downpours all with no baffles.
So, to answer your question, yes I have. Don't patronize me.daf105paccar Thanks this. -
