So my question is since the mirrors are mounted with plastic mounts where can I put a cb antenna? There is no factory mount as far as I can see. I guess these have an internal antenna and I'm sure that works great. (Sarcastic). Can anyone help please.

That should work for yaShaggy0824 Thanks this. -
I have seen similar mounts for the cascadia showing up in pilots and flying J's. they are cheaper if I remember correctly and are pretty sturdy. I'm guessing they are becoming more popular because I used to only see those mounts in cb shops.
The '14 cascadia internal antennae are very pathetic from my experience. I was considering getting a mount for my '15 cascadia but it turns out the '15 has pretty good internal antennae, I guess they fixed it for the new model year.
You could always mount your antenna on your slide rail behind your truck, but with the additional cost for extra cable and the hassle it would be best to find the mirror mount. It does work well mounted behind the truck, I had mine mounted like that on my '14 because I was impatient and didn't want to go out of the way to find a mount, but you should check the next time you stop by a flying pilot they may have one and it would be the best solution IMO.
There is also this mount available for a whole lot less $$ : https://www.google.com/search?q=cas...wQsxg&biw=480&bih=269#spd=2064700624470489975 -
Broccelli nailed it. Works for sat radio antenna too.

On my Cascadia I mounted my antenna on the rear of the cab, it had a rail that was perfect for it. Longer cable run, but at the low freqs we use does not matter as much as location and grond plane. Mine was also a mid roof not a condo.

I agree with the mirror mounts. I have seen those in Loves as well. If I ever need to go outside the integrated factory antenna, thats what I am gonna get.
Speaking of the integrated antenna on the Cascadia's, I am with Broccelli, I am pretty pleased with the one integrated in my 2015.... surprisingly.

Wilson finally jumped on the cascadia problem and made a bird perch Mount that bolts to the two front bolts of the mirror I've been seeing them at most the big truckstops for 30 bucks yes you can jget them cheaper but if your like me I can't stand waiting for something in the mail especially when I'm on the road

Mirror mount works fine.. Been useing mine with a $40.00 att & o hv. No problems only gets about 4/5 miles.. Gd enough.. Anything more is just more $$

Thanks drivers. I'm only gonna be in here for a few more weeks for my 28 days. I figure ill probably move into another cascadia so your help is appreciated. Don't really know how the internal will work since we been sitting for a couple days. It might get me through till I have my permanent truck. Will definately invest in the mirror mount though. Thanks and be safe out there
Grumppy Thanks this. -
So I did purchase a mirror mount. 30 bucks. Works like a champ with 5 ft antenna. Getting 3-4 miles out maybe a hair more with my cobra 29. Definatley worth the money
Broccelli Thanks this.
