Here's your tip, quit begging for money. When Pilot starts tipping then i'll tip.I'll always leave a tip in a restrauant even if lousy service but with lousy service ill leave all pennies along with a note telling the waitress to use this tip to buy yourself a new personality.
-
Call pilot they actually hate that . Let them know witch one it happened at . They will take action on it quickly
I only tip when deserved , sup-par service no tip at all.
But then again I can think for myself and not swayed by what people claim is common practice. I have a mind of my own and can think for myself.
Trucking companies hate guys like me lolflybynight1 Thanks this. -
If I am getting ready to take a shower, and the attendant attends to my needs, whatever they may be (well, within reason, minds out of the gutter folks!), with a smile, he or she gets a tip. every time!

I believe I am in the minority here. Quite often I will leave the change in my pocket on the sink in the shower room.May be 50 cents , might be a buck or two. I generally change my pants when I shower, and as I take stuff out of one pocket and put on the clean pants, I will pull the change out and leave it for the cleaning person. I do not like to have coins in my pocket, and I am glad someone cleans up the mess some truck drivers leave.I consider it karma, I guess.
Cranky Yankee and wore out Thank this. -
Seems the non-tippers have pretty depressing excuses for their beliefs. ####.
if it is busy and the cleaners are busting their butts and I have a clean shower, they will get a buck or whatever.
Everyone in any kind of low wage service industry should be considered tippable if their performance merits it. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't, but having a wholesale no-tip policy, man that is harsh. You guys need a hug.Last edited by a moderator: Jul 28, 2014
Cranky Yankee, Mudguppy, Raiderfanatic and 4 others Thank this. -
I won't leave a tip in a shower, but at a bar in a restraunt $ 7 is my minimum tip.
-
Not trying to start a dustup, just correcting a misconception. MOST wait staff DO NOT make anywhere near minimum wage (hourly, anyway) and only the ones that work in or near mid to larger sized cities actually make a decent living. Last time I checked (in FL anyways) hourly pay scale started around $2.75 or so. Granted, it was their choice to do the job, but a lot of them don't have much of a choice due to low or nonexistent skills, job market, etc. Plus, nowadays with the majority of folks using plastic to pay for everything, any tips put on that card have to be reported to the Gubmint, so even that couple bucks is taxed.
I always tip for good service, and in rare situations will even call a Mngr. over to let them know when service was excellent. I figure they hear all the bad #### employees do, so it's nice to hear the good stuff once in awhile too......HalpinUout and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Restraunts hire these waitresses at 2.00 bucks an hour to cut costs and pass it on to you so they should in turn cut the cost of their food but nope they raised it to I think its about time the federal govt stuck their nose into the restraunt business and make them pay their employees fairly . hell they stick their nose into everything else

I always tip the shower attendants, and I've taught my daughters to do it as well.
$2 normally, $1 if I'm low on cash.
No tip if it looks like it hasn't been cleaned well.
We expect clean and sanitary showers, and yet I've seen some horrible messes left behind by drivers that are REAL slobs.
I think that if more drivers would leave a tip for the attendant there would be far fewer complaints about the cleanliness of those showers, because the people cleaning them would have a better incentive to do a really good job.Cranky Yankee, Raiderfanatic and Lepton1 Thank this.
