Well, I got an email from my recruiter about switching over to choice. It seems I've passed the initial criteria required so I'm assuming my log/hos violations have been sorted out. She wants me to call her when I get a chance to go over some more questions and schedule orientation. Currently waiting in line to check in with security at p&g in Oxnard CA, then headed to the French Camp CA drop yard to relay. I'll try to find time to call her on the way up there.
At what point do I talk to sni finance about getting a truck and my options of trucks? Do they call me or do I go over it with my recruiter? Sent in an application when I sent in the choice application but havnt heard anything from sni finance.

Call SFI as soon as you can now that you're SNI approved.
-
being that new, there ought to be a drivers manual, anyhow: did you figure it out? what is it? and could you post a picture of it? thanks
-
She SHOULD have known. Its same as def system but doesnt use def as the catalyst to burn the soot. Uses the engine alone at high rpm to get the required heat.

Oh don't worry its not because you're female, its just 'cause we're some of them there dumb*** truck drivers. Doesn't matter what gender, race, etc., we are, we're all just idiot steering wheel holders. I got the same attitude from the service writer at Charlotte when I told him about issues with lights and brakes on a trailer. The mechanic was standing nearby and says to him "can you have the driver bring this trailer in bay 9, it's got lights out and the driver SAYS (he put extra emphasis on the "SAYS" as if to say "this driver is an idiot don't trust him") it needs brakes on the rear axle.
We're on the bottom of the totem pole micki.tynodine Thanks this. -
Yeah...when the day comes that I leave SNI, reason number one is maintenance ineptitude. Add to that reactive (as opposed to proactive) maintenance practices, ###### attitude from maintenance personnel, non-existent communication between shops and SEM, and governed vehicles.
I'm a wee bit cranky with them right now. If they hadn't routed me back here today to see my girls, I'd have deadheaded to the Dallas OC and cleaned out the truck. I will tolerate a great deal of ######## toward me personally, but do NOT eff with me when it comes to my kids.tynodine Thanks this. -
Stuff like that is why I will never be a company driver again. I just can't stand the attitudes.
sadwar and mickimause Thank this. -
Turns out the log issues have not been solved. I've been trying to get this #### fixed for the 2 weeks but apparently it's too #### difficult for regulatory to understand. I'm calling in again tomorrow morning and speaking to a manager over there. Its getting ridiculous.
-
How long ago was the log issue? If more then 90days most likely wont b fixed by regultory.

Well if any of ya'll wanna keep on trucking for $60,000 company drivers or more for o/o, yet have the same frustrations with Management, Maintenance and Dispatch... I suggest you start hauling sand for the oil fields (or any pneumatic hauling grain, dust, cement, powder, etc), become tanker yankers (water, crude, hazmat, etc) or haul food....
tynodine Thanks this.
