Just had the problem happen here. This is the fix: take both panels off of the APU and look down at the bottom left of the big panel. Is there some rub marks? Your compressor is rubbing up against the panel. All I did was loosen it up a bit and voila problem solved.

They will pay for a room when stuff like that is broken, contact your FM. Or swing by a Freightliner shop and have them change the ecm so you can idle, make sure the person that they ask for the password knows of your situation, or they will just say no. or take your chances at a TA/Petro shop.

I guess I'm just lucky. When my apu wouldn't start I was idling for a month. Just turn truck on at left it. Idles forever. Now apu is leaking against spitting it out of top

I know its hot and near impossible to sleep but, why would you abandon Primes truck because you didnt take the time to check your apu before you left the yard in mid summer. Thats not Primes fault bud you done messed up. Cant leave it up to others to check this stuff for for you gotta do it yourself. Have you called road assist? They should be able to look up a service center near you. Keep in mind that an abandonment on your record means the careers over. We had all our first year mistakes and yours will pass too.Last edited: Jul 23, 2014
