Yep when that happens, a Marine would just look, you'd hear him say a few really obscene things, then just say boot don't know and walk away really fast! LOL

These are contractors here, like Red River etc. So not a lot of professionalism present in most cases.... Until one of the gate kids points a thing with a barrel at you that is!:biggrin_25524:

And your English slang. Just makes them all warm and fuzzy.
Oh the San Diego zoo is really a neat place.

    Had a blast..

Yeah it was back in 09-10 when most of the Navy/Marine bases started using contractors at the gates. Does not make sense to me, especially when you find out the salary they get and compare it to what the Lance Corporal makes and is already there to do the job!

I went on the USS Midway and I will say it was super cool! There is so much cool stuff to do out there, you can go to the Marine Corp Recruit Depot out there and go to the museum, watch the parade deck/grinder where the recruits are practicing rifle manual and other stuff. Its really a fun city to visit.

If I wasn't headed home I'd take you up on that. I like pushing trucks as long as people listen but not showing up is absolutely inexcusable. You'd and bored stiff doing my job all we do is make 200 mile circles twice a day and then hope we have enough time to make it back to the load out facility. The well I was on went down today for who knows how long and there's 35 trucks lined up waiting to unload so I decided to go home, I was disgusted anyway as I bent my bumper backing into a hole to unload and I can't be driving around with a ###### up bumper.

Hope they check alignment I would think they didn't align it properly last time if pilot bearing went.
