Good morning everyone. The King always liked the 660, dennisroc, and would agree with passport. They are a workhorse and get the job done. Other than the headlights, as passport said, he enjoyed driving the 660. They are smaller living quarters, more suitable for one person. The truck the King drives now is a Peterbilt that is probably comparable to the KW700. I think it would be much easier for a couple to live comfortably in. More room and a nicer layout of the cabinets and fridge.

George is indeed doing well, dennisroc. I think he has got the HOS timing down and has learned to plan according to how TransAm works. He is proving himself to be a good runner.

Have any of you seen the "Mysterious Lady in Black" on your travels? The last I heard she was in Ohio.

I am off to town today to do grocery shopping. The teenagers believe they are starving and the Queen Mother is coming for a visit. They all want me to bake pies ....buttermilk pies to be exact. I have been trying to get the house and yard in shape,(now, you know where my mean temper came from), and ended up weedwacking my leg instead of the weeds.

I have never seen the allure of the 660
with the stupid step down to the sleeper
narrow between the seats if it was a standard you would impale yourself moving around
all KW's have bad turning radius compared to freightliners
I thought i was turning a ford escort when i got into this cascadia
I miss my apu the most

I just watched 2 video's on TransAm's website that I had not seen before. Showing their equipment and talking about TA.
Say they run all over the states , if I want to go to all 48 will they let me or will they just keep me in one area ?

I have been to most states but there are a few I have not been to yet.

Ouch, Hometime! Hope you didn't hurt your leg very badly! I can see why you'd be in a bad mood, especially if it's as hot there as it is in NC. So, are buttermilk pies a family tradition or one of the area?

I am at a hospital in Greenville, NC with Mom. She's having outpatient testing done on her lungs as part of tests to see whether she can have a heart catherization done. At 2:30 she will have another appt for doctors to discuss the results. Meanwhile, I sure am sleepy!

Dennis, we stay east of the Rockies but have a few loads a week go out to southern California.

I'm in the door at Buckhead Beef in College Park. After this I'm taking my empty to the TA in Montgomery and swapping. I'm assuming this guy might be going home? I'm picking a load to Ochelata, OK. Anyone have any idea where they might send me after that? Kinda hoping Dodge...
