I have been reading many of the posts, and invariably I run across words/phrases that I don't understand. Such as "Regen" What the heck is that??? And what the #### is an "APU"?
So here's what I'm suggesting - Let's create a thread where anyone can post a word/phrase with an explanation what it is. Newbies can also request the meaning of a word which we/they don't know
Thanks in advance
Hal
How about a dictionary for newbies??

APU= auxiliary power unit
Regen= emissions system self clean on DPF (diesel particulate filter)......DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) equipped motors do it too, but not the same way.....

There you go - now I know a few more things than before.
Thanks -
Newbies? Try rookies.

Rookies? Ok rookie here. Now do you feel superior? - Doesn't take much does it?
-
Don't be offended. Its not a derogatory term. Other industries use the word too.

Ok KE5WDP - I guess I took it wrong, sorry, I would always rather buy a coffee than have a fight. I hate my current job, and I guess it's showing.
