I think the guy is reaching out, honestly its a refreshing thing to see. Its sad state of affairs to think everything has ulterior motive, although with the people we have in office, trust is at a premium.

Wow, all you drivers just missed a golden opportunity to get to know a broker at a company where you say you can't. Saying all TQL folk are the same is like saying all drivers are the same! I hope your not all like the fool pulling a tanker this morning that was flashing a 4 wheeler to move into the left lane so he, the trucker, could pass on the left; or those dirty, scraggly, unkept characters climbing out of their trucks at the truck stop or rest stop. I you want respect you must first give respect. Someone comes here offering dialogue and conversation and you all start pissing in his wheatie's has the right to stop posting. If he would have posted, I want to hear "professional", "adult" drivers whine and cry then you would have met his expectations. I'm sure he has many "driver" stories he could tell, but chose not to. Way to go guys! Bravo!

I have yet to see a TQL agent lead by example. Maybe an easy way to do that would be to see a load posted in some small city (where it actually is) going to say a particular suburb of any large city. Then when they answer the phone, be professional and don't play games about it. Tell me the commodity, give me a fair rate for the market lane, perhaps we haggle a little bit over a price, and come to an agreement in the early part of the day. Do not expect to call me in the afternoon with a decent rate now because if I am not already doing something else, I will now gouge you. STEADY AS SHE GOES, CHIEF.

All that being said, there are some decent TQL agents out there. Some that operate exactly as I said in the first paragraph. If I am available, I work with them. They will call me to see my availability on a lane they know I sometimes run for them when available. Yes, there are good and there are bad, in anything.

I have yet to make a broker contact off this website. Never come here looking for them either. This place is useful for exchanging ideas but contacts and business get done in the real world. If these one post wonders (and the mega brokerage they work for where management types do read this forum) can't take a little honest constructive criticism for what it is, and improve on some well known faults, there's no hope they'll ever improve on the perceptions people have of them.

It's no surprise LB is no longer around.....This is a tactic used by many large companies to gauge their customers satisfaction. When i was working for a very large cable company, the routinely used forums and chats under false i.d's to see how the general public felt about the services and products they offered....

What ever happened to "honesty, and morals"?

I firmly believe if brokers just posted the "EXACT MILES" and the "RATE" they would establish good relationships with reliable carriers that would "LOVE" to haul for them....

What is better for brokers, getting a flat % commission on 20 loads a day....or trying to haggle and be turned down repeatedly for low balling carriers who will only take 10 loads a day...Everyone makes money, and is happy! Relationships are formed, and it brings a more personal element into the equation.

This was exactly what I thought when the posting first appeared. They do read these forums. Lots of drivers here can tell you about times where they made a comment here about TQL and then get a call in the blue from them wanting to talk about their issue or whatever because they read about it here. I mentioned one time in a couple of paragraphs posting, that really wasn't about them, just an off the cuff "got burned by TQL on a load to Chicago area" and a lady called me - we had a conversation about that and the offending agent.

This is to all brokers, and TQL.
When I search for a load guess what I click on first? The price from highest to lowest.
I am not wasting my time cold calling posted loads with no price. Total waste of time.

That is true most all of the time. The ones with the money looking to move the load will usually have a price out there. Although A LOT of lowball scumbag loads are posted with their dismal price as well.

Knee slapper of the day, "TQL is reaching out and has no ulterior motive". Let's all hold hands and sing Kumbaya.

Tell you what, let us all know how you feel when TQL cancels a load on you when you've dh'd 60 miles to get it and it's now 1600....

    Awwww shucks, right?
