Ok guys, I think we need to send out good thoughts and vibes for Ron
First his 1am crunch wake up call and now he's no answering his text msgs..
Here's the scoop. The rig site he's going into or went to this afternoon is not pretty.
Hard rolling hills and narrow auto gates.. I bottomed out on one today going in.
I sent him texts about it and I saw him turning up hwy 387 at a little after 4. From the highway back to the rig it is a hard 14 miles and took us 30 mins..
It's now 7pm out here and I have not heard from him.
I hope he's ok and maybe just has to wait untill the morning to offld.
Got another buddy going in the am. Will have him check..

Ok home finally from 7:30 to 5:15 to load then I took till 6:15 strapping in 27 straps in all woven under and over to try and make sure every piece was strapped good a few smaller pieces I had to tie together as I just did not have enough straps even after running to harbor freight to buy a few more.
A quick question though I jave a 102 trailer and one piece over hangs both sides about 2" and one piece sticks up and tge 3/4" valve hangs out past the edge three feet off the deck about 5" will this be a problem?

c'mon man ! what do you mean "will this be a problem" ? It's the law bro ! there's more trucks than cops, maybe you can get by, then again maybe you can murder someone and not get caught. Seriously what how do you want people to answer that ? Just tell me I'll do it. you want me to say, "all good, I do it all the time, never hassled !" How's that gonna help you when a cop pulls you over and whips out a tape ?

If your cargo is hanging over the sides of the trailer it is an oversize load. It is important to stay inside the rails when the load is 102" or under. That's flatbedding 101. The only items that may extend up to 3" off each side is dunnage and securement.

    tsavory Thanks this.

Thanks like I said just never had any side hangover thought there may have been a little play as with rear over hang on a 48' but I found out different and thanks for the info got the valve back within the rails with a bunch of prying 8"steel pipe is not light lol but no way to move or rotate the other rotated its 14' 8'10" guess its get some permits oh well. Seems jacked up as the ratchets stick out further. Thats way I asked just as I didn't know how much rear over hang till the first load that had one happened to be in CO had 6' off but CO allows 10'
