I think you're getting up set too soon. 8 days and you're ready to write them off ? Give it a month, then decide.

I don't agree. How much money do you have to lose to realize you need to get out? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...you know how the saying goes.

I agree 100%. I was hired about two months ago and I was lied to as well. The homrtime here is horrible. If you live in oklahoma this a perfect job. I live in Ca and it's a fight everytime I want to go home. I was told I would go back and forth between Ok and Ca and get by the house weekly. I got within 30 miles of me house, 17 hours early for my appointment and was told I couldn't go home. Something about being out of route. I was told I have to stay out for three weeks and just recently they made a rule were you can only spend a maximum of 3 days at home. The only thing I can disagree is that they do run you and I made good money but this company is far from being family oriented. If you are single and dont have to be home then this a good conpany. But if you are like me, married with kids this may not be a good fit. I will be done here soon.

Sorry to hear about that, strucker. Where are you in California We left LA to move to Austin. My husband's former contractor out of City of Industry, CA is hiring his replacement. It's FEDEX, 5500 team driving, Industry to Fort Worth and back twice a week. Tuesday through Saturday morning. Guaranteed $1260/week. No waiting, drop and hooks, same run week after week. May not be for everyone but if your home time with family is important it's consistent home time and money.

I went through orientation with your husband and he shared with me at the hotel how he was uncertain he could do the job since most of his history was semi local with fedex. Rains and Sons has been great to me and everyone from the recruiter to my dispatcher has been straight forward and pleasant to deal with, I typically dont post on this or any forum website But I wanted the potential drivers who are looking at a career change not to believe 1 drivers wife who is not being honest. This is the only reason im speaking up since the whole time we were in orientation she continued to call her husband every 15 minutes drilling the poor guy constantly! He obviously was scared and she was pushing the guy for information on how fast he was going to get his first pay check, he shared with me she wanted him to ask for advance but he said no!! when we were in orientation and the instructor began going over the logs i could see her husband was lost so i gave him my cell number and told him to call me for advise.I dont want to air out the dirty laundry on what happened when he received his truck and took off with first load but most of the responses speak for themselves!!! I think we all know who wears the pants in this situation by the one doing ALL THE ########, SORRY SISTER DONT BE A HATER!!!! LOVING LIFE
highwayman and desert_son Thank this. -
I work gor this company I have no problem with them
-
They are a great company some drivers can only pick up at one place and drop at another day after day and thats fine but most truckers go all over and it is not the same everyday.
-
This is hilarious...your making these judgements after 8 days????
