I am attending school here in Austell, Georgia. I have a few pre hires at US Express and KLLM. US express just did a few questions over the phone so I'm not overly confident about that one as i don't exactly have an empty rap sheet. (DUI 2007 and marajuana possession 2010 but conditional discharge is what it says on my background that I ran recently.) KLLM did a full bit with calling all of my past employers so I imagine they would have ran the background to make sure I fess up to anything in my past. So I feel better about that one going forward. I still have time to snatch a few more of these up and I wanted to know from experienced people familiar with the georgia area what to look for and jobs willing to forgive a guy who was more or less retarded in 2010 and prior.
Any tips on companies that have terminals in metro Atlanta or close

Btw i told the US EXPRESS lady about the charges and as soon as she told me i don't need to mention that one she kept cutting me off. The fact of the matter is whatever cobb county did i cannot get it off of my rapsheet as when i inquired about it with the pro bate system they simply told me my old probation officer is no longer working there and was advised to seek a lawyer if i wanted this conditional discharge pending charge to change or go away

Anyway any advise on noob companies or things of that nature to look into would be appreciated

I would look on this forum for usx hiring policy because the recruiters job is about numbers and it doesnt matter if you get kicked out the first day for something she could have caught before hand, she will still be considered to have done her job
good luck man -
Yea that's why I don't know if I trust that I mean kllm took the time to contact all of my past employers so I imagine that was the last phase simply because running the reports is a quick way to discard someone. I do not rely on the us express for sure. I'm also in talks with covenant. Not sure if I were to actually have a chance with all 3 which orientation do i go to?. I figure do the same ole routine and get experience and get out but at the same time I want a company that gives a ####. Maybe I would stay if they treated me as a guy with experience if I show experience with said company... i don't know. This is all new to me. I'm just a guy trying to get my foot on the ground. Retail and warehouse work has proven to be a poor pit as of late
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Paschall Truck Lines
Western Express
Both will probably hire you. There's more that will hire you, but they run teams only. If you want teams, let me know.
Apply online with Navajo Express; they look at criminal records on a case-by-case basis.
Always apply online before any phone calls; it gives them an application to look at when you do call.
