Stuck out of state with an expired licence

    So you are all right...no way to renew over phone, fax or anything else. I could mail in, but it would take 10 processing days after they recive it.

    Im prob gonna bum a ride to train station from another TMC driver and then take train home.

    Why not? Isn't it the law in all states? Certainly is as far as I know, in Mo.
    Would you rather have someone else mail some stuff in and get a license in your name? I know I wouldn't......

    You can mail in stuff and get it renewed with a 10 day delay. There is no added security to going in person becuase you can do it by mail. You can also renew non cdl licence via website, so there is no reason you cant do CDL that way to.

    I actually have done it with an Iowa license in IL at least, and some other states, but I don't think I'd try it in the land of the Hoosiers. The license is still valid for 30 days after expiration.
