My wife and I team. She refuses to drive a standard even though our truck has a clutch. Trucks are different than cars when it comes to starting out for a stop. Unless we are very heavy and on a steep hill, you can just let the clutch out slowly and the truck will move forward on its own then hit the throttle when ready. Its not like a car where it stalls if you don't give it throttle at the same time. Unless you dump the clutch, she will be fine. Tell her not to worry. Driving an auto with a clutch is no big deal and actually gives you better control when backing and on hills than the ones that do not have a clutch petal.

The O/O's usually have Kenworth W900L's and now they have International Pro Stars. I might be wrong, but I think some even have a few ant eaters in the mix.
Auto Shift? -
Heh, it's not Auto-Shift, it's "Oughta Shift" because you're making that engine scream and the turbo whine
sorry, I just had to do that -
Me personally, I prefer to shift the gears myself. But that's just me oh, and two sticks are better than one btw
Did two sticks old 5 and 4-20 total thank God for a left knee -
Ive driven an auto shift part-time and they shift rough, not to mention how slow they are at finding and shifting gears. My favorite is when the computer misses the gear (seems to be a problem when transmission is very cold).
