Good training some of the road instructors are hard ##### can make good money. Funny thing is that all the tmc guys wave to each other from the highway. All in all i recommend it just got it cross your fingers you get a good trainer for your five weeks. Allot of people are intimidated by flat bedding but it's actually easy if you follow the guidelines. If you have specific questions one of us tmc guys can help you out.

Your trainer should be getting you a shower every other day at the least. That's not right. He obviously feels comfortable with your driving, that's why he's in the back. I know some trainers make their trainees do all the work so that they can get better acclimated to the work, but the smart ones will lend a hand and just basically answer questions, or help where it's needed. He seems lazy, and slobbish. There's no reason you can't grab showers on your 30 at least. Just be sure to put it on your "review" of him after you're done in his truck.

LOL My trainer was always nervous with me driving while he was sleeping, I asked him why and he said because it was his truck not TMCs. He was an O/O and the funny thing is I had prior driving experience of which most of it was running teams coast to coast or running teams hauling extremely precious cargo(Horses), which you have to drive like you have eggs under every pedal, turn like you are going to flip at anything over 5 mph and break a good 1/2 mile before anything! Now I have to do the complete opposite driving a ready mix truck in Chicago everyday LOL.

As for the shower thing, I agree with Battle, you should be able to get one at least every other day! He sounds like a bit of a slob to me also and he also sounds like he may be in it for the money more then anything.... I did tons of loads on my own securement wise but he would still be out there watching and just making sure.
