Lease startup costs

Everyone has theyre own opinion of this show and the host of show does push products which he profits from however its easy enough to sort though things from your own opinions and still get alot of good information from the show.

 

Anyway to answer your original question there are no real out of pocket startup cost. Your chains, load locks and locks will all be charged to your truck and Prime will take $25 a settlement until the cost of those items are paid off. Anything extra like GPS, TV, CB, fridge ect would be out of pocket. You will be looking at $1,200 a week in truck payment and fixed cost. Then you have to account for your tire fund, emergency fund and excessive mileage fee, so depending on your miles per week and the % you have taken out for each one then you need to add about another $200-400 a week to the $1,200. If you use Abucus CPA there at Prime then add about another $100 a week. Oh let's not forget the cost of your fuel and lumpers so your truck will need to gross about $5,000 a week in order for you to make money for yourself.

 

1st off Im not a L/O, but I would double check on this, I was told at one point that L/O could not carry a balance, and Prime would take everything owed on each settlement. I know as far as Company drivers this is true, but I'm not so sure on L/O.

 

You'll need about $3000 minimum to carry you through the rough patches in your first year. More is better. I recommend at least a year if not two solo on the company side to figure out how trucking works... the experience is crucial to be successful as a lease op.

Nope we only pull food grade products
