Madera, CA at the Pilot... Kick off some bins of garlic in the AM down in Hanford then no sure from there. At least this load smells nice when I stop
peterbilt_2005 and MJ1657 Thank this. -
Not to bad really. We got lded. Monday midday. Finally got a permit and a replacement pilot car Tues. around noon.
Seems the first pilot bailed on us Tues. Then got rted into a low bridge in Ok. Got around that no problem.
Then bouncing across hwy. 33 I had a quick coupler for the supply side on the stinger let loose and locked up the brakes on the stinger.
4 tires ruined and spent the night on the shoulder of the road.
Thank goodness we stocked up on Thia food. Haha
Will off ld. this at a staging area as they found out the stretch trls. can't make the turn.
Will reload Monday in Pa. with a draw works going right back to OKC..
But first I need to go see my Dad. He's in the hospital.. Not good sports fans..
He's up just west of Port Clinton and then I will stop and see him on the way to OKC -
Did you forget a wedding anv./ Birthdate / this was the day we first hooked up deal??
Hope it works out for you.
How bad did the STAR CAR get banged up then??
Mike said he thought the hood hindges might of got broke -
Sorry to hear about your dad Carl. That kind of stuff is never fun.
-
Wish you and your dad the best in a tough situation. Hope things turn for the better.
On the truck, the initial est is just under $5k but once they take the hood off there might be a little more.
I have to wait on the insurance co to finish their "investigation" before they approve the repairs. The fight is going to be downtime compensation. They think they can rent me a replacement truck or the cash equivalent. I said really, a 4 axle tractor with RGN ramps??? Let me know where you can just go rent one of those. Going to try for $1000 a day but be lucky to get half that.
Goof news is I will be busy until the first week of Sept.passingthru69, dannythetrucker, Cluck Cluck and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ron, don't forget to file a diminished value claim in addition to damage to vehicle and time lost. Insurance companies are aware of this and with carfax, rigdig, etc... it is a legit loss you need to be compensated for. http://www.learnvest.com/knowledge-center/how-to-make-a-diminished-value-car-insurance-claim/

Thanks Danny, I wasn't aware of that avenue. I will look at that process as well

Unloaded at Helena, MT. I got the right rate to come here, but still doesn't make it any less horrifying some of the rates being offered out of here. I think I'm glad I left the 8' tarps at home. I guess if I'm gonna deadhead might as well get moving, but kind of tempted to goof off a bit and maybe something at least light and cheap will pop up.

Ran down to Glen Cove LI this am. Then hammered back up near Hartford ct to pickup tomorrows am load.....raced it back down to Riis Park (national park so the equipment operator tells me) in Queens. Waiting to get it off now. Load lumber for north jersey 0630 tomorrow, kick that off then go pickup a 4 stopper back to ct for Monday.... 4 stops within 1/2 hr of my house, less than 100 total loaded miles...(.I'm thinking this customer is gonna work out) and get at least 2 off tomorrow afternoon.
dannythetrucker and passingthru69 Thank this.
