im trying to find out the same info...ill be joining crete for orientation on the 2nd of sept....after that when I get my truck, it would be nice to get a 23 inch tv and hook my ps4 up to it. Any suggestions for tv and what kind of inverter works best?
also, how does one set this stuff up? Been driving for 8 yrs so far and its only been day cab stuff

I think wait till you get your truck and then buy a screen so you'l know about power. (12v vs 120v), If you'll have a mount or have to strap it down etc.

I know I'd love to put my 24 inch Sony playstation display that I got for $99 in the truck when I get it but it doesn't have mounts and its 120v.

I'm not much of a gamer, but I was wondering, why would you even consider the older systems? Doesn't everything get better with each new system?

I don't have a PS4 myself. They tell me the are anticipating a bunch more games in the last half of the year now. I figure that unless there are a half dozen games I want, I'll wait. Maybe I'm missing something, but it never occurred to me to buy an old system.

ps3 is still a great system. good games, great graphics, and blu ray. I won't buy a p24 for a couple of years if I do at all. I just like the ps3 that much. my bro has the ps4, great graphics, but im not impressed.

I suppose you could make a case for a PS3 also because it has a huge game library and you can get all of them used and cheap.

ps3 is still a great system to have, especially for us drivers....you still have the bluray, like said before, a huge game library. Im just really into games so I had to get the ps4 back in june. Once sept gets here, the ps4 games will really start coming out. it has been a bit on the slow side up to this point.
Im going to wait till Crete gets me my truck assignment before getting a tv of course. Ill be on the southeastern regional, home every 6 days or so. it would be nice to have the option to play some games 2-3 times per week when I first start to take my ten hr. break. Since ive only done daycab stuff for the past 7 yrs or so, the regional work will take a bit to get used to. Im making the switch because these home daily jobs come with a headache all their own. I gotta support my young family. Luckily, I have strong wife lol....
But im 33, been a gamer since the original Nintendo, and its a hobby I want to continue to have....

Exactly and honestly depending on the type of gamer you are some times the older consoles are better. Such as if you really enjoy older final fantasy of the persona series of things like that you need a PS2 to play them since it can also ps1 games (Can the ps3 play ps1 games? I know some of them can play ps2 games but those are either old or jailbroken.)

The other reason for not buying a new console is not wanting to risk a brand new console in the truck. I mean I only paid $180 for my ps3 4 years ago I'd not be that worried about it but I might with a $400 ps4.

Then again I say this but I'll likely have an Ipad and my laptop which are both worth more then a ps4.

Won't be able to do that in a Crete truck. They don't allow inverters unless u have a sleep machine and if u do they only allow a 400 watt inverter. Only trainers have big enough inverters to run tv and video games

How many companies don't allow inverters? So far I've heard Crete and schneider not allowing them. That just seems cruel if you're going to want people out for long periods of time then not allow creature comforters.
