Schneider starts their drivers (for the mid-west) at .30 a mile for inexperienced. They have a website you can check out.

Make sure it is in writing if you go with them and also if you sign a contract. If not, run for the hills.

Rad how did your get the training without signing a contract with them. I am thinking of going to their school and I have to sign up for 18 months. This message board is wonderful for new people. I do think though that a lot of people are just in the wrong business. I am sure there is some dishonest people in any business but a company can not continue if all they do is lie. Maybe I am naive and I will to get burned but this is something I have always wanted to do. I just hope I find the right training.

This site has threads dedicated exclusively to each of the major carriers.
I can't believe anyone would make a decision about any of these guys without reading what people have taken the time to post...

Personally, I thought this guys post was good

And, of course, remember that unhappy people use the internet to vent their frustration so just take that into account when you are researching -
13760,
I went to a school before Schneider. They asked me if I wouldn't mind going through their STA free of charge to learn their way of doing things.
All in all, you could do worse. There are a few very bad outfits out there.
Just read these forums and you will find out very quickly who they are.
My advice is try to find any other way to get training without signing a contract because 18 months is a long time to spend chained to a company. -
.405 for loaded miles on loads 200-300 miles
.505 for loaded miles on loads 100-200 miles
.705 for loaded miles on loads less than 100 with a minimum of $25
Also, if I make multiple deliveries, I make 15$ for each additional stop after the first one.
I gross 550-850$ a week, all very dependent on miles I get. Definitely above the poverty line though.
And all of this pay information plus all pay increases were printed out by my dispatcher my first day, so the information IS there if you demand it, which I would. -
I was checking out schneider nat. and found that for inexperience
drivers this is what i have found and if i am not to paste or cut any thing sorry and please tell not to do this and any other infomtion would be great
