Finally!!!! Waiting to get this load off. Had me running nights since Monday and I absolutely cannot sleep during the day. I'd say I've had less that 15 hours of sleep since Monday morning.
I have 4 hours on my 70, wonder if I'll get a load today or not 14 is up at 1400 so I don't have much time to work with. Sitting at jeld-wen in Grinnell iowa for now. Appt was 0900, got here at 0830 and there was no one to unload so they called a second shift guy in.

I love their enthusiasm but I have 45 minutes in my 70 left and only picking up 2 tomorrow. Got pre plan for tomorrow and shipper a little over 3 hours away. Just let me get my 34 in people, hate running like this. Thought I was gonna run out of time trying to leave nyc.

Not looking forward to Laredo; 103 plus add in the humidity.
-
Got my reset and really don't care, already gonna be a 3800 mile check plus 75 for nyc so I'll enjoy it.

I got 3600 last week and just got pp for weekend load, 3000 this week. Big money! I love money.

Hi guys, back online, computer went breakdown...
Temporarily going to a dedicated account for a customer out of Hazelton PA, for 980 per week take loads home on weekends to unload on Mondays with time to return back to the shipper.. don't know much about it yet, but loads are to be dropped off at the consignee and then deadhead back to the shipper....don't know if it's a good idea since I was due to get an increase to 37 cents...would you guys do it?? -
Is that $980 gross? Or $980 net?
I can't live on $980 gross! -
LOL...yeah it's gross, it's only going to be temp. don't know much about it yet...980 for me is ok, since my expenses are about 1k monthly...I also think it's kind of low, but for someone like me still making low cents per mile, I think I'll give it a try since it's temporary..
The good thing about it is this...
"Home Time: The average time off ranges from 36 to 48 hours on Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. Drivers will return back to work on Sunday evening to make their Monday morning deliveries on time. Note: In the event a delivery may cause you to miss home time, Melton will work out some compensatory days off. This will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Consult your Driver Manager when this happens"

I suppose that's not really all that bad for a new driver. It is pushing close to 50k a year if it was permanent, and home weekends. Is it a dedicated consignee as well? Where's it going? Tarp? Are you going to be running 650 miles a day 5 days straight as fast as you can?

I've done something like that before, pickup us steel run to Minneapolis then drop off that night deadhead back in morning load next day repeat. Did that for 3 weeks it was nice and got 450 or so dead head every other day.
