I have been a diabetic for 4 years. My husband is a truck driver and he wants me to ride along. My doctor told me that I was allowed to ride with him as my sugar is well controlled. My question is.. are there any certain regulations for a rider being diabetic? I use a pen and a vial. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide..

YOUR medical condition shouldn't matter, as you wont be driving.... however, i would double check with a DOT officer and/or DOT Doc, to make sure your medications are ok to be in the truck.
One of my nieces had to miss out on going for a ride last summer, since some of the meds she took were not allowed in commercial vehicles.

Just remember to take all the meds out of truck when the ride is over, you dont want driver to take blame for some kinds of meds. happy travels.

Make sure all of your prescriptions are well labeled with your name and keep them all together.

no problem at all for you to be on the truck as a rider as long as the company he works for has a rider program.....
