If we had responsible people who used drugs responibly, then we wouldn't have these issues but human nature takes over, too many people are weak pathetic individuals who can't control themselves so the laws and regulations are there to protect people have to work around or live around these weak individuals.

I would rather have the drug testing become more stringent than to have to recover from being hit by an idiot on drugs.

    Joetro Thanks this.

I see you making the same assumptions that I see everywhere.

It's understood that if I drink a beer on a Sunday afternoon, it doesn't mean that I will be under the influence when I show up to work on Monday morning. But, if I smoked a joint once in 1969, I won't be able to control myself from getting high and getting behind the wheel. It's not just this forum, or the trucking industry, but everywhere.

I've had many hair tests. Please explain to me how they're collecting roots by snipping my hair with scissors? I've never had any hair plucked out for a test

He didn't say that. He said that the irresponsible people ruin it for everyone. No one cares if you smoked a joint in 1969. Hell for the last 20 years we've had a President who has admitted to smoking pot or snorting cocaine

No assumptions, history has been pretty good in showing our problems with drugs. Human nature hasn't changed since we started walking around. AND the reason we have had these laws on the books seems to stem back to a period where many of us think was a puritan time in our country, where we didn't seem to have problems - the 19th century. We had serious drug issues then, and again in the beginning of the 20th century and the 20's - all of which makes the 60's look calm.
