In LAREDO I'll do laundry and relax to am.

 

I'll be at B-ham terminal tonight if anyone else be around there. I'll be there around 2 and can't deliver til 10 tomorrow and only be 10 15 minutes away.

 

Melton has me pretty irritated right now. Arrived at cons in denver last night, post trip and unsecured so I didn't have to start my clock and do it this morning then I went to bed.

They unloaded this morning and I sat for a few hours then got a DH order to pueblo, 100 miles south. Figured they had a load set for me down here since we move a lot of freight out of pueblo.

Got here and let them know I was ready for my load. They said it picks up tomorrow...

I had 16 hours in sleeper before they made me move, could have had a 34 done and got here before appointment... but no, the planners incompetence made that impossible. Now, I have 8 hours on 70, 2 back tonight and 5 back tomorrow night... and, I'm supposed to be 1500 miles away in SC by friday!?!? Buncha idiots!

 

Sounds right, they tried to make me move during a reset and told them nope. Let me guess air conditioner load.

 

I was hoping that it was a Trane AC load but no luck. There were 6 of us here, all going to rocky mountain strel. 2 already left.

 

haha...i got a taste of it today

today sucked. i was 5 miles away from cons. last night 3 hours into my 10 i get a qc msg about when can i roll. i said 330am, but not set to deliver until 800am. 'thats not an issue, ill get back to you in an hour hold on' well i fell asleep and wake up middle of the night with a repower. 120 miles away, and

they want me there by 630 cuz its jit. i asked for a phone call for further explanation but did not receive it.340am rolls around and i get a msg 'you getting ready to roll?' well im figuring im not delivering this even though im 5 miles away. so i say yes and head out. i meet the other truck at a t/s and hes having problems with his truck and needs it towed. but i was supposed to show up empty. noone told me that, cons doesnt even open til 8!!had to drive 120 miles back to cons, deliver, drive all the way back, and repower.

i could have probably made it to cons without starting my clock this morning, gone to repower, deliver repower today, and most likely had time to get started on another load.instead i woke up at 330 for no reason, and sitting on the repower to deliver tomorrow instead. ran out of hours today and im about 100 miles from where repower delivers. only get 6 hours tomorrow, so now i probably wont even get a load til wednesday.

what a waste. reassured it wasnt my fault, just 'miscommunication'

 

So, not Only did I get screwed out of a 34 because I "need to go to pueblo", but after I show up to rocky mountain steel, they tell me that my load has already been picked up...

 

I've been double dispatched before. Guy beat me by 5 minutes, but luckily there was another
