This video comes to mind. If you do pass the spot, plan your turn around or going around the block. Dont just take the first small ally you see that has a dead end wisth a low bridge lol

proper thing to do is call the cops and ask for an escort so you can strait line back out. Or ask a car driver to help you back out.....The cops prob wont even write you a ticket if you don't hit anything.

I once got to a road closure do to a fallen tree. The alternative road was clearly not big enough for a truck. (no signage before the closure, all traffic diverted on to smaller road) I backed down the left lane of a 2 lane road with a cop escorting for me for about 1.25 miles. I didn't have to call since he was already on the sceen, but still, cops would rather help you back up, then sweep parts of your truck off a bridge or road. O then ally docked at the nearest intersection with him blocking traffic for me, and turned around. Key is not to panic, and dont hit stuff.

Hi sb, I don't mean to sound insensitive, things are so time sensitive now, people on the phone, "where are you now"? Back in the day, we got there when we got there, it was no big deal. People getting into this biz don't realize, not all deliveries are at the bottom of an exit ramp. It can be frustrating, but is part of the job, always has been. It will get better for them, if they stay with it.

Unless you have a long nose Pete, 300 inch wheel base, and a 53' trailer with a 10' spread, I wouldn't worry to much. I'm a horrible navigator myself, but I manage. These jobs stress us all out. It's just like the military, its stressful, but you think, if everyone around you can do it, so can I. I'm not saying that works all the time, you need to know your limitations. I don't know what exactly is bothering you, but ask yourself, is it normal? If you had to drive a school bus, I'm sure you can do it, but after a day or two you might know in your mind, that you just can't take another day and move to another job. Good luck.
