She was happy about that.
The first few weeks we bounced around the north west states, and it was getting boring until we went for a home time in MN.
Then it was the eastern states, which was a nice change of pace and locations.
A couple states, like Maryland, we just skirted through. But she was able to get her key chain.
I returned her today, and everyone was so excited for her to be back. She has a 10 year old sister that was simply bouncing and squealing in joy!
And I, as much as I love Leann being with me, am glad to be 'solo' once again.
I'll enjoy my 'solotude' until next summer, when I look forward to getting her back on the truck with me again.
And then the next summer it will be Lorelei (the little one) that hops on the truck after she turns 12.
Oh...
Good night from Denver, CO.
I'm at the TA east for a couple days.
We are headed to Lakeside Amusement Park tomorrow night for a bit of fun.

Had to come into the Phoenix terminal for a B-Service this morning around 10am. They finished that at 9pm but now tell me my ProStar has a chip in the windshield so they're gonna replace it plus a check engine light. Was a small chip and I didn't have a check engine light on when I got here!! Arrrrgh!! They say it will be ready sometime tomorrow afternoon. Wonderful!!
i feel like everytime I have to come here I've fallen into a black hole and can't get out! It took over an hour this morning just to get in because I needed DEF and had to wait for all the trailer repairs at the front gate. Pretty much kills my miles for this week now.
I like working king for Swift but sometimes I just want to pull my hair out. -
I all ways try to get b service done either Memphis or Columbus. Siting out front of the drop lot, err terminal otay mesa. Also no need to get DEF from terminal just fill it at pilot or loves

Phoenix is obsessive to the point of absurdity, and they will try to find ANYTHING to delay you.
Sometimes it is good, but most times it just wastes our hours.
Watch out for Salt Lake as well. They just went that way when our terminal was moved to the Central place.
Anal, to the max!
Even bobtail you will wait in line for an hour, just to be waved through when you tell them that you don't need anything!
Boneheads, it seems, are in charge.
I avoid those terminals whenever I can. -
Wolfy, best wishes and hopes for you and your wife.

thanks everyone, I ended up making it home a couple hours ago. Originally the site manager was trying to rush my truck to have my take care of a load, I asked him this morning if it can be a round trip since I wanted to get home to my wife and explained the situation. About 2:45 I got a text saying my truck was ready and when I went to the desk they told me it was a mistake and my truck had some leak in the batteries and something about replacing a coil so I asked how long it would take and they told me its about 2 hours of work so I said I should be able to leave soon then "nope we cant work on it until tomorrow" called up the manager and told him about it and he told me to hold on while he called a driver from the fleet who came up to Lathrop to take a sim class plus switch trucks with the shop and he might possibly be around still. Lucky me he had trouble finding the truck he was supposed to get plus went to get fuel so we met up and I rode back with him, I had to take over driving the last 45minutes since he ran out of his 14 so it worked out for both of us. I was a bit rusty driving a 10 speed though after being so used to a 9, too much thinking of where the gear was.
On the way back the site manager called me and he wanted to apologize for seeming cold about my situation and told me to go home that he got everything covered and he even offered me a couple days extra off but I declined since I cant afford to be taking extra days off especially as our anniversary trip is approaching very quickly.inkeper Thanks this. -
Glad it all worked out for you Wolfy to spend that important time with your wife.
Had no choice this time..was put on hold after bringing a load into town yesterday. I've had B-Services done in Greer, Houston, Menasha, Memphis, Lancaster, Richmond and Syracuse pretty quick. The last time I had this done in Phoenix it took 3 long days. Just my luck.
I usually do get DEF at the majors too. Took so long here because I just happened to show up when all the lanes were full of ragged out trailers getting fixed. I generally try to stay out of the terminals for all the reasons we know but as a Company ####### it is sometimes unavoidable.
When they're finished and I'm rollin it will be like waking from a bad dream and all will be good again..till I get to the next shipper

At San Diego Freightliner. My AC waiting until I was loaded AND bought fuel to quit yesterday in Phoenix. So after driving over in 102-106 degree temps I blew my PTA out and stopped here to see if they could fix it. I'm supposed to pickup a load of pallets this afternoon in Ontario headed for Patterson, CA. I'll give myself til noon before I bail on the load. The dealer should be able to tell me something in 2 hours.

if you going to slc terminal, and bobtailing in, take the right lane. it bypasses the fuel/inspection lane.
Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Does that work for a company truck?
