So my old truck was a freightliner, the bed was upgraded by the company. I never had a problem with my back with it. But this 14 prostar I'm in now sucks. My back started hurting after a few months in it. What can I do to get it more comfortable? Memory foam pad, or just get a new matress all together?

I put a temperpedic in ours. But we're owners so, it's a little different. I wouldn't invest that much into a company truck.

Maybe try some of that higher dollar memory foam, the stuff that runs about $55 or so, give it a try and keep your receipt to return it if not good for you,

just an idea. Oh and you could get one of tempurpedic pillows, I got one for like $115 BUT it was really worth it. Sleep is priceless :)

I'm a company driver, and purchased one of those 2" thick memory foam pads from Walmart for $89. Best money I ever invested for sleep. I added one of the $20 comforters on top of that before putting on the fitted sheet (best to get the microfiber fitted sheets at a truck stop that fit your mattress size). Made a huge difference when team driving, I'm getting good sleep whether the truck is moving or stationary.

You might wanna try stopping at a bed bath and beyond and getting a pretty decent mattress pad. Don't be cheap and go to Walmart, you may end up regretting it later.

I went local. Now I sleep on my queen sized memory foam mattress.

You sure it's the bed and not maybe the seat? Are you a solo driver or team?

I bough the $99 memory foam (thinking 3" version) at Walmart. Works really well! Also bought a memory foam type pillow at Bed Bath & Beyond. Put in some ear plugs and see you in the morning. GSD on guard, he has to earn his way, LOL.

Anything foam is to hot in the summer for me. I had a latex mattress very comfortable but hot, I have had the memory toppers, same thing to hot. 2 1/2 years ago I bought the Big Rig Mattress out of Dalton Ga. 706 278 6010. very comfortable, it's cool and very well made. I highly recommend it.
