Another question for you old pros, if you were a new driver (but lots of life experience) which of these would you choose? I have pre-hires from both Knight and Werner. I will finish CDL school at the end of August and have already passed my CDL"A" test with HazMAt, Tanker and Doubles adn Triples Endorsements.

I also have a TWIC and Passport and have no issues to prevent me from traveling to Canada.

I know both of these companies fall into the training/mega companies but as a new driver I feel that the training offered will offset the problems attendant to a large company. I am single and unattached so the amount of time on the road is not important, but the fact both of these companies have a pet policy that allows me to take my dog (12 pound Schipperke) along is very important to me.

I am in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and have looked at several local jobs but really want to do OTR for a few years at least.

Any Advice or ideas are welcome. Please don't make this a bash on the mega's thread.

    Thanks

    Jeff

Unless their policy has changed, Navajo Express has pet policy.
Their trucks have APU's and inverters factory installed.

As I said I know they are not the very best places to be but they seem to offer good training and look like good stepping stones to a better job in the future.

I'm glad to see you took my advice about looking into Knight. I know for a fact that knight has a more extensive training program. I know right now it sounds like a PITA but, you will thankful for all that training later when you go solo.

That training is the main reason I am considering these companies. Thanks for the lead on Knight they have a terminal here in the Twin Cities. That will make life easier if I go with them.
