Palisade, CO. Last truck stop going east. Sent a pplan, and nope. Wyoming for a live unload on Thurs at 0800, and no freight in that area.

 

Looks like I'm stuck for a 3rd day in Phoenix terminal. Fixed the small chip in the windshield instead of replacing it but now have to wait till midday tomorrow for Cummins rep to replace a regen part under warranty. Oh well, this week is now officially shot.

 

steve...it did for me. guy at the gate said if i didnt need fuel or was bringing a trailer with me, to use that lane.

 

Good to know, I thought that was an O/O only trick.

The other thing I do when picking up a t-called trailer in Salt Lake is to drop my MT in the dirt lot west of the terminal, send a Mac 1 showing that I've dropped it then bobtail in. I make sure BEFORE I drop my MT that my load is actually in the yard. Saves quite a bit of time.

 

I'm just starting to use Mac-30. Since being eligible to be platinum starting in January I was on that dedicated team account (Marshall's/TJ Maxx) and it wasn't worth anything. Since getting back to solo and mentoring it means something now. Nice trick, but I wish there was more information with each load option before making a selection.

 

Picked up a load in fernley, nv heading to phoenix, az but it delivers on Thursday so I had them t call it in north las Vegas, nv. I like my loads to deliver before the wednesday midnight cut off to go that check. Picked up a load in north las Vegas that delivers in los lunas, nm. I'm currently at the flying j in kingman, az

 

Commerce City, CO. Mac 30 this morning and 3 can loads, all going to CA for Saturday evening, 2000, 2100 and 2300. Nope. Showed up at cons for this so called drop, and nope. Live. First had to drop it in the yard and spot another one in a door. Then hook mine back up and spot that one in a fenced area. Then rehook the other one for live unload. There was another driver there, and he said that he could not because he was out of hours. He did not know about line 5. Send one pplan going to Edwardsville which was great, load in the morning and drop Friday morning and was able to be able to get another one. Nope, pu time changed until 1500 Thursday so took that one off me. Then a paper load to SLC and Idaho Falls, ID. Nope, and then twice a sears load, 2 stops for 2 days, 500 miles, Casper and Rapid City. Guess that sitting until morning.

Well sent another heavy one to the NW, Billings, and said no, not going back up into the mntns and long hills to get there. Actually got a message back from the planner asking what hills and mntns between here and Billings I was talking about. I do not need some planner sitting behind a desk telling me what it is like out here. Oh and again, a area that we have nothing but heavy if can even get a load on a Friday.

 

pheonix terminal. went in and see if i could tcall load. was going to till he asked why. told him to get this short miles on this pay period. then he said he wasnt able too since one...other load was 2 hrs later than mine and that they were told not to tcall for that reason. he said if he had a load delivering today, he would have. called my dl and he said the same thing. dl also said since it delivers at 4am, it might go on this pay. but i thought you had to mt out by midnite weds.??

 

I thought we had to have paperwork scanned in by Wednesday midnight too, if we are not on accelerated pay.
I got kicked off a couple weeks ago because I was lazy.
I scanned everything in Thursday morning at about 0400 Phoenix time and it all went on that previous pay period. (Luckily for me)


I'm also in Commerce City, CO at the TA.
Last day of my home time, and I'm just chilling out today.
The first day of home time I went to my girls new home and cooked everyone some chicken fried rice for dinner. I love having a real kitchen.
We went to Lakeside Amusement Park yesterday and had a great time. I'm glad we did because this is the last year that Lakeside will be open. It is being retired.
Sad, but true. I'm wondering if they will tear it down or keep it as a landmark.
I happened to grab my Elitch Gardens t-shirt that morning, which got a few remarks from the Lakeside staff. LOL But, I said, I came here today instead of there!

I was sent a pplan today that picks up today, and my PTA is set for tomorrow at 1000. But it is preloaded with a decent delivery window so I can pick it up tomorrow.
I'll do a Mac 22 for the delivery because I don't intend to pick it up early enough to deliver by 0700, and I have until 1159 the following day for the live unload in NE.
It's nice to have a decent load out of here, the day before I come back.

 

not me it seems. everytime i do a reset, it seems they start with a few shorthauls, or i get short hours for a few days.
