Rolla, MO at the Loves. 7 stopper on the way home for the weekend. 1st stop in Springfield and 2nd stop in Mt. Pleasant, TX tomorrow. Then 5 stops around Houston on Friday, then truck goes I. The shop and I take the weekend off. Boy I can't wait to be a Houston city driver on Friday. :smt021

 

Evening rush hr on I-71 in Cincinnati, OH ABSOLUTELY SUCKS!! Almost as much as that Washington beltway....

Was going to park at another rest area further east on I-70 OH but stopped at this FJ on I-71 OH for my 30 min mandatory break and a bag of ice... and after some calculations, decided to take my 10 here...
I was cooking in the truck, had my windows open... A guy knocked on my door and asked if my CB was on... WTF?? And he said, "Did you hear about the Swift driver?? C'mon... you gotta see this..." And I told him... "No... I am busy here..." Yeah right... like I have time and am interested in this kind of BS at a truck stop parking lot... Then I saw him walking around and arguing with another man...

as for parking further east of 70 you probably made the right call. Those rest areas get packed.

 

Oh man... I guess there's so much BS going on at these big truck stops... That's why I prefer the smaller empty ones...

Seen something kinda disturbing today, hauled a load of food grade brown rice. Had to wipe my trailer out then have it inspected by two different people prior to loading. For whatever reason the load didn't pass so I dumped it and they reloaded me. Put seals on my hopper doors and tarp handle. Who knew they were numbered l0l. Anyway i get it delivered dude makes sure all numbers match BOL and says ok roll your tarp back I need a sample. Crawls in my wagon and walks around on the load in oily ### work boots. What was the point in all the sanitation. I said something he said got a bad back can't reach out over trailer. WTF????????????????????????????????
