How long have you worked for them?

How much experience required to qualify for hire/ do they hire new graduates?

    What is starting pay?

What is their linehaul/s, slope and back? Anchorage to the slope or Fairbanks to the slope? Either or?

Would really appreciate as much info as you can provide!:biggrin_255::yes2557::biggrin_25514:

    Thank you!

Yes. The "oil patch" in Alaska is commonly referred to as "The Slope", Barrow, Prudhoe Bay, etc. Separate from the petroleum industry on the Kenai peninsula/Cook inlet which is commonly referred to as "The Inlet", or "The Peninsula"

Sorry for not getting back sooner... Got really busy.

They start around 20 per hour. OT after 8. Great medical dental along with a slew of other benefits and discounts.

Linehaul haul is the most difficult to get into. Gotta be there awhile. They run down to Kenai. Up to Fairbanks. And some run the Alcan.

They follow a strict seniority ladder, being union. I was taking home between 18 to 2200 every 2 weeks. Home every night.

You'll need Class A with haz mat. They do most of their hiring in the spring. And their freight is steady year round.

I was with them for 3 years.

What kind of job did you have with them? What position does one usually start in, local?

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated!

You do a little bit of everything there. (Except Linehaul). I started out tying down flats, then moved over to P&D. They try to fit ya where your the most productive, but everyone is cross trained into all positions. I'm kicking myself! Never should have left.
