Ghost, I've got a couple spots I like to stay down that end of Florida. Wildwood is an option, only an hour away. On days I unload in the morning and reload in Auburndale in the afternoon I usually trek up to the Okahumpka service plaza on the turnpike. Loves is only an option if I get there early and the rest areas are a last resort. The Tampa truck stops aren't even on my list if places I stay, lol. Found one receiver I can park overnight on site and betide I really wanted to I could get away with parking there and then heading on to Colorado Boxed Beef lol.

Jaso, that Chinese place right next to the Walmart isn't too bad, BTW!

 

The password for the laundry WiFi that you can pick up in the lot is "cleanclothes" ... errr at least it was last time I was there.

Since jaso is going to Detroit, now is a good time to warn the new drivers about it. The ONLY safe place you'll deliver there is Wolvrine. That's because, if you show up early, they'll let you park in their yard, behind their 10,000 volt, electrified fence. Any other place, stay out of Detroit till your appt time. My company won't go there anymore, after we had a whole trailer load of meat stolen, while the driver slept. I'dmuch rather do NYC, than Detroit!!!!

in my experience if you were late you go to the end of the line and get loaded sometime between closing time and next week

 

that's why I park in Monroe lol
