Sorry I have disappeared guys. Been sitting at home since getting off the road with my son. I been taking some time off looking for a local job and not just in trucking. I think I am done driving. Time to go back to what I went to school for 20 years ago. I will try and keep in touch here.

Excellent Melo. That tops my best at 3128. Congrats man!! I only got 2012 miles last week. Did alot of sitting and swaps this past week. Sitting in a dock at Coca Cola as they stuff my trailer wifh Minute Maid lemonade and other flavors I guess. I was 45 minutes late getting here. Left Lake Worth Service plaza on the Fla Turnpike at 1030am and thought it was a five hour drive, but I stopped for a 30 minute break and got stuck in Kissimmee and Tampa traffic. Also stopped for trailer washout and load locks and topped off reefer fuel. Really got screwed when I got off I 4 onto US 92 through Tampa. Showed up at 6pm for a 515pm appointment. Really hate that. Should have started my clock earlier. But then my 14 would run out earlier. They have stopped loading my truck. He told me to wait in my truck. Was hoping to make Jasper or at least my fuel stop in Ocala. Neither seem likely now. May have to sleep here. But at least I can do that here. I noticed a porta john. That's a good sign. Hope I get to keep this load. If I don't, I'd better start reading the handwriting on the wall. Deuces.

first thing i noticed is you dont have to take a 30 minute break until you get to 8 hours
take your break at the shipper or receiver whenever possible
setting yourself up for best use of hours is critical to miles
r
if you had gone up 95 to fort Pierce 2 washouts there
then turnpike is right there too
you really shouldnt of had any problem getting 175 miles
especially if you had set up for success by being proactive
getting prepared for the next load
this is what the successful drivers dowulfman75, HometimeQueen and gntorres61 Thank this. -

Good luck to you, kf4omc. It is difficult being on the road with a family at home. I'm happy that George enjoys his job, but him only being home 4 days per month(aoorox) is rough. I miss him! As HTQ said, please keep in touch. Wish you the best!
