E zpass for truck in New York

Kudos to you guys for helping Golga out, being that the way he phrases his questions can be confusing.

Golga why don't you go to an ez pass office. I think they will be able to help you out better.

 

Only in NY would they need $200 for an EZPass acct LOL! In MA they give them out for free and only need $50 to open the acct. I wonder if there is anything in NY that's not double or triple what everybody else pays.

 

Anybody can get them from any state they want because they are all EZPass'. IL is just one of the few who are still choosing to rebrand it as there own. MA used to call them Fast lane, VA called them SmartTag etc. I turned in my MA ones years ago because NH charged me less when it refilled my acct.

 

Normally I would agree with you but have you seen the price of the toll for 5 axles across some of the bridges in NYC? You could burn through the 200 in a day

 

I completely agree, I cry when I go over the GWB every time but just being forced into that much kills me.
