Walmart has deep pockets. Really surprised the use of cameras has not been implemented sooner. Like I said, I have been using my own dash cams for quite a few years. Not concerned about a camera showing me doing something I should not be doing while driving. Too many reckless vehicles on the road to allow an accident to occur and it be your word versus theirs. My wife was rear ended by a pickup truck at a high rate of speed back in May. The pickup driver claimed my wife swerved into his lane, the dash cam proved he was lying! :)

I understand that. The rumors I am talking about are about them watching the drivers. That isn't going to happen, and you and I know it.

This is going to happen so Walmart can protect themselves. It is also going to protect the drivers and show that they are telling the truth. How anyone could see this as a bad thing would be amazing to me.

I think cameras facing forward and down the sides are a good thing.. Camera facing the driver is only to help Walmart distance themself from the driver during litigation if need be.. IMO

    interpreter Thanks this.

Walmart is not stupid. They know the backlash they would face with cameras facing the drivers, not to mention lawsuits. Of course they are going to discuss everything. They are a very thorough company.

I disagree. Walmart knows they would lose a lot of drivers if they do that. A lot of safe drivers. They have a hard enough time getting high quality drivers as it is. They are not dumb.

While told that the rumors would start, was also told driver facing cameras is a no go.

Everything is a rumor until any official policy changes are made.
