I don't know "who" told you that cameras facing the driver is a no Go ". But the Walmart Road team member Amselmo from New Braunfels that was at Sealy Thursday said that cameras facing forward and to the side is a done deal and that cameras facing the driver is a strong possibility and he was there to get the word out and to get driver feedback for Jeff Hammonds.. See I can use Names because I'm not gossiping or creating anything.. I'm Gary Sizemore 15 year driver from Sealy.. I don't spead rumors or call names... And in my opinion cameras are coming including the ones that face the Driver..

Be a little more specific in terms of what you want to know. If a driver is diagnosed with OSA, then treatment is mandated to remain qualified to drive under §391.41(5).

Thank you drozzer69 looks like I have almost a year on your friend, one other question. I come from a construction oil field, and tanker back ground, currently hauling propane regional. I've noticed that most of the people on this thread have come from a dry van or refer back ground. While I know that there is nothing in the min. requirements regarding where you have you experience. But does having a history with dry van/ refer give you an uper leg at Wal-Mart?

Gary, I do not see you as spreading rumors, but rather sharing what you heard from a reliable source. Since I have been on a LOA, I was interested to keep up to date on any changes. Thanks for sharing.

Not from what I can see. I believe driver Rick (Extreme4x4) on this board was hauling propane before he was hired by Walmart. Meet the minimum requirements, do well on the interview, road test and pre-trip, pass physical, drug screen, & background check = get hired.

    Stoney7 Thanks this.

Does Walmart have a written OSA policy> So all OSA is treated with cpap or do they go by what the ME says? The medical examiner could order a mouth piece for mild OSA or positional therapy,or weight loss. Is it Walmarts policy (if they have a written one) (my initial question) to have all osa treated with cpap?

The wife here, again. If I can remember correctly, it is 6 paid holidays, paid at ADP. If you work the holiday you can defer the paid day off, or take the pay. You also get a quarterly safety bonus and paid safety day. So, that is another 4 per year, if you keep your nose clean.

Yes Stoney, my husband hauled propane for 7 years before coming to Walmart.

    Stoney7 Thanks this.

As someone who had OSA when I was hired, all that was necessary is that I were to show the medical examiner the condition is being treated, which in my case was with a CPAP machine, and be certified to drive. Walmart never asked me any questions about the OSA.

I have been out on a LOA. I have heard unconfirmed reports of recent changes being made during the process of getting a DOT physical that drivers were being screened for OSA. I will defer to other Walmart drivers here who may be able to address this.
