Mrh a few days ago you wrote something about people on the office being idiots and I totally agree, but the problem is that they think that the Drivers are the idiots(well, some are..lol), the administration, although they preach the opposite, thinks very low of the Drivers and thinks that they expandable at any time..
Last Friday I was in Baltimore, waiting on a weekend load when I get a message to go home(Bethlehem PA) and be ready to go dedicated on Monday. Guess what? It never happened. Monday comes around, I put myself on board waiting for someone named Eric from Masory to call but instead around 10 I get a call from my DM saying the account is being phased out...lol I'm sure it wasn't anything that was decided over the weekend, so what went wrong? Anyway, I wasn't sure If I wanted to do itl so all is well.
Thisweek has been a pain with Tarping, three loads with all three tarps...one from York PA to Dallas all three tarps, from there I got a taste of Western Exctrussions, what a mess, odd shaped load with sharp edges 17 straps all three tarps and about 100 bungees. All this to go how far?? You guessed it 400 miles to Crane MO...lol
Today I'm under a load I picked up in Lowell AR going to Williston ND. Left there at 4 this morning and am sitting in a TS called Stones in Watertown SD 699.2 miles away..Didn't think it was possible to drive 699 miles but I did today and don't think I'll ever do it again...stop with 6 minutes left on my eleven..the reason I was able to do I think, was because I29 is a very easy drive with hardly any traffic and got lucky with a truck stop right at the end with lots of parking...
Have any of you ever driven over 700 miles in 11?? I think things have to go perfect to be able to do it...

i think i got close. i think i was over but it was counting my driving overnight(midnight) and then the driving through the day.
i am about 100 miles from sacramento where cons is, im thinking of staying so that i get a reset and just leave monday morning early. havent had a reset for past almost 6 weeks. so i think ill take it so i dont have to get passed over because of hours. i didnt see very many t/s in sacramento anyway, just a pilot that is pay to park. i only have 6 mins left today so if i want to be any closer i wont get a reset.
i saw that message about laredo too. im thinkin who cares if it takes me longer during the hot season...last time i was there it was definitely over 100 and i had to take multiple breaks. told the guy in laredo i may take a bit longer cuz its so hot, he didnt mind just told me get there on time thats all that matters.
suppose to be home by the end of the month well see what happens. -
ahahaha...that don't count, has to be within your 11 hours.. I've done it before too in a 24 hour period..

Three more states out of the way with this trip, Nebraska, SD, and ND hadn't been to these yet. In three Months with Melton the only states I haven't been to are FL, VT, NH, RI, MA and Maine..so it's the extreme north east and Florida..

My house this time of year all you have to do is walk out the door and look like in a pool. Cuba Missouri for night.

I got close to 900 in 24 hours before.

The most I've done in 11 is 689. If I have a long run, I like to do 600 at minimum each day. Much less than that and I can't get decent sleep. I can't take 10, wake up and drive for 8 hours and go to sleep for another 10. I don't know how some drivers can live like that!
When I have time I usually do 600-650 in 12 hours and take 10-12 off. That's how I prefer to run.
Today I did something like 625. Just north of Columbia SC to just west of indianapolis. I'll sleep in, do my 250ish to rockford il tomorrow, hit the TA up there to do laundry then run down the street and shut ddown at con for del on monday. -
hey floyd, most i did in 11 was 665. i remember writing it down in my notepad.
i definitely like to do 600 mile days if its a long run. almost always end up a bit more like 620 ish but if i have the hours ill do it this way. -
I think the most I did in 11 hours was 670 with about 8 minutes of that in off duty driving. Going thru Oklahoma and Kansas on the 35 and 70.

Oh good I'm not only one that's done that
