I recommend the Hendricks Tire Max Pro Tire Inflation System it's the only one that Inflates as well as Deflates all the other systems I checked on when ordering my trailer only inflate, I also recommend the AirWeigh system with the digital readout in the dash

Good looking flat,,what did it cost?

If you are considering a step on important factor is concentrated load rating,,a lot of step freight is different from flat freight, many loads on a step are not spread all across the trailer,,, remember if you buy a trailer you will have to live with it.
A lot of flat loads you must be able to load at least 48,000# some shippers like sheet rock want 50,000# or a little more,if you cut the load down the rate drops,,sometimes too low to be profitable,,

There is nothing wrong with 17.5 rubber or aluminum trailers. You're the only one who can decide what's best for you.

If you're the kind of guy who does not use all the cool gadgets mfgs are offering like in floor securement systems, dual winch track, and strap hook bars. Then there is no reason to spend the money on a big fancy trailer with bells and whistles.

If you do use the above mentioned options then go all the way. Lots of storage and 53' and if you insist on being light then aluminum is the only way to go.

But tire inflation is a must on whatever you do get

I was wondering what the production time is for Fontaine. In 2006 they were selling like hotcakes and I had to wait a month just for a standard Renegade. They did crappy prep work on the frame cuz the dang paint is rusting off like a Transcrap. Not a prob with aluminum though.

Yessir, I am with Landstar! Most the time I see open deck BCO's they do have a stepdeck, so that could be why there seems to be more flatbed freight.
