I am toying with the idea of getting a portable washing machine for the truck. Has anyone used one? any good/bad experiences? Links below are to the two or three washing machines i am thinking of getting.
The "Wonder Washer"

For underwear and socks, wear them till there stiff chuck them out the window when you need to change lanes.
Levis just hang them in the refer, once frozen hit them with your broom all the bad stuff will fall off, wear immediately.
If your in the south this time of year, just wring out your clothes the dirt will leave with the sweat, spray them with Brut, no one will know I promise. -
I Love laundromats. I take socks out of a dryer and put them in someone elses and under wear in another. People will get in screaming matches with each other for some reason.

The ones i saw at camping world seem to be quite large. were you talking about something smaller?

Not a good idea in a truck, Where are you going to install the water and waste tanks? Where will you get fresh water and dump the waste water? Don't forget to install the generator. You will need 110 volts AC to run it. I have a motorhome with an 80 gallon fresh water tank and 45 gallon grey waste tank. The water usage alone is why I won't install one there.
Can you afford the extra weight on your truck (tanks, water @ 8.34 lbs. a gallon, generator, machine)?
You can only do small loads. 2 pair of jeans or 3 work pants is 1 load. 5 t-shirts is a load. a weeks worth of under wear and socks is another load. These figures are for a small apartment size/RV washer. Your Panda model will be even smaller. The weights stated are for wet clothes. You will never save enough $$ by avoiding Laundromats to offset truck alterations and operating costs.Last edited: Aug 19, 2014
