Pretty good sales pitch; "We normally give those accounts to drivers with at least 6 months experience", as if they're doing you a favor. USX pulls the same sales pitch. Can't keep drivers on those accounts. How about the one, "The CDL school highly recommends you for this account because you're in the top of the class."
Didn't think I'd do it..

Hello guys, this is my first post but have been following for a few weeks now. There's a lot of info here that you are not going to find anywhere else, and I and others I'm sure appreciate all of you guys sharing your insight!. I've been talking too a recruiter at TMC for a week or so,and just started school today and if all goes well will graduate the first week of Sept. and head up to the"land of black and chrome" as I think Beancounter put it. The thing that sold me on TMC is the %pay and the company going"employee owned",I think that says alot about the higher ups and their vision for the future....I'm 48 yrs old and am really worried about retirement, didn't realy plan well in my younger years, you young guys take note, these things will mean a lot to you in the future, start planning now!!,it's not all about the nice trucks and looking cool pulling into your home town impressing the ladies, although that has benefits as well!!lol. Anyways,I look forward to meeting as many of you guys as possible in the near future, from what i've read on here I would be proud too ride the roads with any of you!!. Special thanks to Gunner75 and the Richter twins ,you all have been a wealth of knowledge and a great help to me in my search for a starting point in my new career!Safe travels to all!!!

Thanks for coming aboard BWIZ2260. This is Andrew ( the recruiter for TMC) and if one wants to start flat bed right out of school...as I did a few years back...you can do a lot worse than TMC. They'll teach you the correct and safe way while paying you darned well. Having done it with no experience to start, I found it a great choice. There isn't anything inheirantly dangerous or difficult about it, anymore than any other type of driving.
GWIZ2260 Thanks this.
